Running with Intention: Dev’s Journey of Faith, Culture, and Vision at Adidas
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Dev, an Arizona native, man of God, and Manager of Culture Partnerships at Adidas. In our conversation, Dev opened up about his faith, his intentional approach to life and work, and the road that brought him from retail jobs to global stages—all while staying rooted in his calling. While he leads a thriving run club, it's important to clarify: Dev is not a professional runner—he's something much deeper. He’s a cultural connector, a vessel for purpose, and a man on a mission to make faith visible in the corporate world.
What Drives Your Work?
We asked Dev what motivates him in life and work. Without hesitation, he said:
"God’s plans and purpose should lead everything we do. I believe in creating things that are well thought out, purposeful, and bring joy. It’s a no-brainer for me."
For Dev, building with intention and longevity is the foundation of a meaningful life. His passion for connecting with others and creating impact stems from this belief.
From Retail to Revelation: A Journey of Humility
Dev’s move from Arizona to Los Angeles wasn’t a highlight reel—it was a journey through humility, challenge, and deep spiritual growth. Before joining Adidas, he worked in retail—a season that tested and shaped him in unexpected ways.
"That season was hard. It humbled me. I had to get out of my own way and let God shift my heart. Once I did, I began to experience a kind of peace that didn’t make sense to the world—but it was real."
That inner transformation taught him gratitude and prepared him for the doors that would open later. It wasn’t just about leveling up professionally—it was about being spiritually ready for influence.
Walking Boldly—and Inviting Others In
As Dev began stepping into bigger spaces—corporate offices, cultural events, global campaigns—he discovered that boldness in faith often creates unexpected silence. But he’s learned not to be afraid of that quiet.
"Moving in boldness sometimes brings a silence of unfamiliarity—but it can call others to step up and mention their relationship with God in a space or time when they never would have. Confidence can breed comfortability."
Whether it’s in a creative meeting or a post-run conversation, Dev sees his boldness not as a spotlight, but as a signal—inviting others to bring their full, faith-filled selves too.
Bank of America : Annual Boston Marathon 2025
📸 In this image, Dev crosses the finish line of the legendary Bank of America Boston Marathon—repping not only Adidas but also his church home, Fearless LA.
More than a personal milestone, the marathon was a spiritual one. Each stride reflected his commitment to discipline, purpose, and honoring God with his body and actions.
How Do You Stay Grounded in Chaos?
When we asked how he handles the fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment of his industry, Dev gave us a glimpse into his Christ-centered approach:
"I lead with love and truth, even when things get chaotic. When people ask, 'Why are you so at peace? How do you handle everything?'—it’s because I’m walking with God daily and not letting distractions take over."
His faith gives him the "unexplainable peace" that others often notice, sparking meaningful conversations and deeper connections.
Faith, Focus, and Fulfillment
Dev explained that his goal is to reflect Christ in all that he does, whether it’s through his relationships, work, or even running.
"Walking in daily obedience with God gives me a peace that spills over into everything—work, relationships, and life. That’s the kind of impact I want to leave."
As a professional runner, his discipline and dedication extend beyond his athletic pursuits. It’s a part of how he honors God through every aspect of his life.
Dev’s story is a powerful reminder that when faith and purpose align, we can create impact that goes far beyond ourselves. His intentionality, both personally and professionally, challenges us to think about how we bring our own values into our work and relationships.
